A bit of background
Tatsu is a 2009 model Lagoon 420 in the coveted owner’s version. This boat is said to be one of the most spacious designs in its size; the high bimini gives the cockpit area a huge sense of volume and the visibility from the helm is excellent. Inside, our 6ft 3in captain has no trouble walking freely with plenty of headroom. The 'light Alpi' woodwork keeps the boat looking modern and fresh. The large bow area, equipped with cushions, makes a great additional seating area, perfect for sundowners.
The previous owners were an Australian couple who sailed in Greece only six months of the year, returning to Australia and keeping the boat winterised, on the hard in Greece, for the other six months. Effectively, the boat was only used for three of the six years of their ownership.
Tatsu’s current owners bought the boat a year ago to live on board and sail through Europe to the Caribbean. Having thoroughly prepared and equipped Tatsu for longer passage-making, she has now been sailed through the Mediterranean and across the Atlantic in December 2018, proving her to be a bluewater cruiser.
The boat has never been chartered and is in excellent condition. The engines have been meticulously maintained by the previous and current owners and were both given a ‘1000 hour’ service by a Yanmar approved mechanic in February 2019.
Tatsu has just been hauled and anti-fouled at St Martin in March 2019.
